Debbie Varner King

Minister Debbie Varner King accepted her public call into ministry and became licensed as an
evangelist in 1997 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Jackson, Georgia. She was ordained as a
minister of the Gospel in 2004 at Nebo Baptist Church, in Pike County, Georgia, under the
leadership of Pastor Alfred Davis. From 2005 until 2014, she served as Pastor of Wings of Joy
Full Gospel Ministries, in Pike County, Georgia. Presently, she is Founder & CEO of the non-
profit branch of Wings of Joy Ministry, Inc., where the great commission, according to Mathew
28:19 & 20, is being fulfilled. Using the Word of God, the ministry reaches out to the public to
encourage, restore, and heal individuals for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Debbie is
a passionate intercessor, who hosts prayer groups to strengthen women from all walks of life,
and she is in fellowship with many ministries nationwide and internationally.
A Butts County, Georgia native, Debbie Varner King graduated from Mercer University with a
dual degree in Behavioral Sciences and Education. She holds a master’s degree in psychology
and counseling from Troy State University and obtained a specialist degree in leadership with a
concentration in brain-based studies from Nova Southeastern University. Debbie taught twenty
years in public school and spent twelve years as a professional school counselor. Debbie is
currently retired.
Debbie Varner King has a great love for family and togetherness. She has been blessed with five
healthy children and eight grandchildren.
Passion, Strength, and love are perfect words to portray Debbie Varner King. When asked which
scripture that is dearest to her, her choice was Isaiah 54: 4 & 5:
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be
humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of
your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy
One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.”
Her purpose is to spread the good news of the gospel and utilize her GOD given gifts to advance
the Kingdom of God. Her desire is to continuously bear fruit in society. Her mantra for life is
simply: Never give up on God!
